It took us forever to adopt Reddit. I’m guessing it’ll take us just as long to move to FOSS. On the bright side, Lemmy is gathering some attention.

I remember seeing a lot of headlines on the Herman Cain Award subreddit claiming things like deniers asking doctors if they could still get vaccinated as they faced severe illness. lol

I don’t see the Dems doing shit about anything, though. Do they really want them back? If so, where’s the plan?

Mexican here. It’s not as pronounced in my country but some people are a bit hesitant of vaccines because of the bullshit leaking out of the US. It’s usually the least educated who are often more inclined to believe.

Having said that, we have a lot more believers in homeopathy, including plenty of healthcare professionals because it’s been recognized by our Health Department. Because if it’s recognized and popular, it’s gotta be true, right? 🙃

And it’s ridiculous because the difference between Mastodon and Twitter is minuscule.

I remember following some popular Twitter Head. Someone made a fake account on Mastodon and started getting followers but only posted once. Since then, his followers have grown to around 11k without any content at all! Imagine if it had been a real account. But the Twitter Head would rather switch to Bluesky instead. Such bullshit.

Mexico. We’re very happy here, honestly!

We got our first woman president who keeps wowing us with comprehensive initiatives and continuing the work of our last president who got us on the right track. Great reforms are happening after a long string of corrupt presidencies that were more interested in personal gain. We had actual government efficiency reviews that cut down on misappropriated funds that have now been reinvested. And we’re expanding our exports to things like chipset manufacturing and growing our infrastructure.

Our public spaces are prettier, cleaner, more accessible, and quite modern here in the large cities. I know that my city alone is not what it used to be 10 or even 5 years ago. I keep saying we’re not a third world country anymore. We’re on our up and up so long as the international powers that be allow it.

Same. I’m so mad and disappointed in America, but I can’t let that override my compassion for its people. This whole thing is so frustrating to watch. Look at how the French do it, Americans! It’s time to break some shit.
