Oh man. I had forgotten Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup. I think I last played that in high school.
I’m just a weird, furry, pan guy (cis he/him). I also have a big, blue username.
Currently on Earth for 8 years ensuring steps to unite humanity and usher us into the galactic civilization just so I can see my boyfriend again.

Well, then, there’s a possibility America will become reliable once Trump abolishes term limits. /s
I have the exact opposite opinion of procedurally generated continuity (because I play for the gameplay and that stuff keeps the game going well after the story ends), but share the same opinion of Warner Bros.
A copy wouldn’t be you. But sometimes sci-fi uses transferrence, where your consciousness isn’t just duplicated, it’s actually moved over to the new body/machine. See stuff like Ghost in the Shell.
I don’t think transferrance is all that realistic though. Making a digital copy is a more realistic thing.
I knew a guy who had absolutely no creative ideas at all and couldn’t come up with any to save his life. He went into a career for making film and TV.
I prefer to keep it down low where i live
Ah. Australian. ;)
I went and found Yiffit originally because the more knowledgeable Lemmy gurus pointed out that everyone using 1 instance would bog things down. Makes sense, you know? Harder to serve everyone, especially if this whole thing is just up because of hobbyists and volunteers and not big mega corps with limitless funding, through 1 channel. Where big sites like Reddit split across multiple servers behind the scenes, Lemmy just allows you to manually control what servers you’re using via the instance you’re on. I’m big on choice, so this is hella rad IMO.
Benchmark it how, exactly? Can it accurately give me Pokedex info for any pokemon I ask it about? Because even Fandom wikis can’t do that and those are edited, assumingly, by humans.
I don’t really care too much about Ubisoft’s games, but everything Ubisoft Montreal, specifically, has made that I’ve played at least was polished really well. They even have some pretty neat ideas occasionally. It’s just that most of the games Ubisoft makes under any of their development studios tend to also be samey and not innovative outside of, like, multiplayer options that nobody even plays (despite having some bangers out there like Watch Dogs’ MP).
Video games.
The mastadon user posting the thing needs to tag the Lemmy community in their post and then it will show up like any other post on Lemmy. You wouldn’t even know it’s from Mastodon unless they said so in the post.
We are now nemesis… Nemeses… Nemesiss?
So you can lift 600lbs or is this one of those tricks where you really mean 300 units of English currency? Because I, too, can lift £300 in each hand. 😤
Naw, we don’t regulate that. We would have to actually think about them first.
It did. You’ll start to see “mudcrabs” become, like, “diseased mudcrab” and other various divider names as they scaled up with you, the same as they do in Oblivion and Skyrim. It has the same problem of “oh no, I leveled up to 25 by only jumping and now everything is too strong for my wimpy combat skills to handle.” Though because the game is already tougher from the start, it may not be as noticeable.
We do; but only gays, blacks, trans people, immigrants, and women.
If you think Oblivion’s was comically fucked up, I have to assume you didn’t play Morrowind. Which was basically the same but worse.
I’ve used Tamriel Rebuilt a while back and it was pretty fucking cool. There was only one small patch of the map that wasn’t completed when I played it, and none of it was populated. But they had the landmasses and cities all built and decorated. If they haven’t gotten NPCs populating places by now, I have no idea what they’ve been doing this whole time (it’s been several years now since I checked it out).
I turned 40 today.
My body feels like shit. My mind feels the same as it did when I was 14; confused and horny.
Until more recently when they started getting competion, what other handheld gaming PCs even existed?
