There are lots of people who commit crime without realizing that they’re doing something wrong. I know a guy personally who raped his date in college, and didn’t realize it was a rape until decades later. Was he innocent? What about drunk people? What about people who don’t “choose”? What if free will is post-hoc nonsense?
It’s difficult to measure rape statistics across countries. But we know, that if guns were prophylactic to rape, the US should have a disproportionately low statistic. It does not.
And anybody who knows about rape knows that guns are impotent to stop the vast majority. That’s because a large portion of rape victims support and protect their attacker because it’s somebody they love.
But sure, in an 80s action move fantasy, a woman with a gun is safe I guess.
The money in AI is going to be the wages of the people it replaces. Those tech billionaires call it a revolution because getting labor without wages is the promised land for cunt billionaires.
The AI revolution is here because that’s what the owners want. If you think they’ll wait until the AI is as good as humans to replace humans I’ll point out that self-checkout already exists.
IDK what country your from, but in the US, mistrusting doctors and the institutions of health is the most rational thing in the world. That’s because our healthcare is capitalistic and runs on that logic. People die all the time because helping them would cut into profits.
The real insanity is thinking that the government, corporations, and the media would suddenly work together to benefit the health of the public… for free.
