I think it you want politics, you listen to politics. I tend to listen to comedy, except I prefer it from people who will also bring up politics since I’m not in it for an escape.

However, I fully understand people who need the escape. One important advice I heard is, if you’re really at your limit and life is getting harder and harder, you have every right to take a time out and join back in when you’re recharged. We’ll need you at your best if it ever gets to the point that folks are having to hide in basements to avoid the gas chambers.

Using it myself, this is technically true but also it’s literally Twitter pre-takeover-- like a fork all the tolerable people started using. You’ve got your George Takei and your Stephen King, etc, so it’s what left of center normies can enjoy without being a little too far (like us, here).

If I’m being honest, I prefer to mix the two communities because a little too much Fediverse can make you go crazy, plus I spread Lemmy ideology there cause someone’s gotta bring up class warfare and Linux, right?

I wouldn’t do pizza, but I like absurdity. A high brow option might be a pipe… but no, I believe I might go with a lovely, steamy cup of coffee. Or perhaps an uncropped picture of a your pizza flag waving in the air. Yes, I do believe that would be absurd.

I don’t even know anyone who uses BlueSky and that’s considerably more trendy lately. Granted, most of my contacts are 20 something college girls so it’s pretty much TikTok as far as the eye can see.
