Maybe that’s what the EU is waiting for? The EU loves Trudeau and he does well as a diplomat. I think it’s one of his stronger points.
If Trudeau has no exit date, we’d probably be closer to getting invited in. But who knows if Canada is going to be stupid like the USA? If we end up with PP, then do we really deserve to be in the EU? Probably not at this time.
A MacBook lasting longer is irrelevant when a PC can be upgraded for half the cost over the same period.
I’m using the same PC I had in 1998. Sort of.
I’ve been upgrading things as needed. Around 2000 I put it in a 4 unit rack mount server case - which will pretty much hold anything I need. The motherboard and CPU have been upgraded 5-6 times. New power supply here and there. Old drives are moved to storage drives and I install faster newer drives for OS from time to time.
I have no idea how much I’ve saved just upgrading things as needed or if something fails.
Oh, there you are!
He’s really good in these situations. He also knocked it out of the park during Covid.
Hang the pizza flag upside down just to make the point clear.
I didn’t go to the US when he was president the first time, and I had already decided I wasn’t going there back in November when the dumbasses re-elected him.
We were the same. At the time I lived 15 minutes from the border and it wasn’t unusual for us to pop down for a day trip or shopping to get the few things hard to find in Canada. That all stopped after he got elected the first time. The little town on the US side of the border suffered from it. There was a large grocery store just on the US side that had been there for 20 or more years. It closed about 6 months after. People stopped coming.
I had to go to the US for work a couple times, but we looked elsewhere for our day trips and fun outings.
This time around I’ve since opened a candy store and arcade. I had brought a bunch of US products into the candy store. That’s all getting sold off and I’m replacing it with candy from Europe and Japan. Trying to find interesting stuff from South America because I don’t usually see that. I think that will be fun to sell.
We aren’t as close to the border now, but we did have a few plans to go down for business related events. All those plans have been canceled.
Mosaic was awesome. Netscape 1 was pretty cool, but Netscape 2 and animated gifs… zowie! That was a day to remember.
Nope. Time for Singh to kick rocks.
