It’s too hard to get direct contact with the engine. And thanks to the invention of plastic engine covers all the heat is trapped largely under them. We heated some burritos once on a trim on my moms grand Cherokee.
Also I have a boxer engine so it’s kinda hard to get down to the engine itself, and the plastic air intake doesn’t get very hot.
1/3 of my refurbished drives died early. It tested fine before I put it in my raid array, but about 3 months in I was getting error after error. I swapped it with my spare and they’ve been fine so far.
Scaled is better, but it’s by no means perfect. It also likes to show posts with 0-3 comments on them that are < 1 hour old. I’ve found that if I just open the tab and let it chill for 30 minutes then come back to it you can get some actually good content.
If they kept the original scaled as like scaled new, and make a scaled hot or something I’d be much more interested. I don’t want to be the first to comment most of the time.
Yeah, i have yet to see any actually good arguments for all this unification and merging talk. Do people just have some OCD stuff going or are there any real problems with the way it is right now?
I don’t want the same post to show up 5 times in a row. And even when it’s not in a row I’m tired of seeing the same post, but on 50 different places over the course of a week. That example happens all the damn time with political posts. I don’t want to filter them all out, but seeing the same thing over and over and over again is extremely annoying.
But like… that’s because most of the time it’s nationalism.

Its the flagship aspect that makes a phone fast, not the OS.
And it’s the OS that keeps it fast a few years down the road.
Android has a lot more free apps with ads, while on iOS there’s a lot more “gimme $2” apps. It’s a trade off.
As soon as you start flashing custom firmware the “just works” goes right out of the window.
And the phones that cost a fraction of the price are significantly slower, have a much worse screen, barely get any software updates, and overall just kinda suck.
Sure low and mid range phones are “good enough” but if it’s a device you use for hours every day do you really only want “good enough” for right now?
My #1 go to is probably Cathode Ray Dude. He makes videos mostly on old tech which is what I’m very interested in.
If you’re more looking for exposing scandals there’s always Coffeezilla/Voidzill.
