Shockingly, if that market exists, it doesnt advertise itself. Otherwise they’d be making bank off the DoD and anybody else with restricted device policies.

Its not exactly a complicated device to produce afaik, either;

• internal storage
• no recording capability (camera/microphone)
• no wireless capability (no antenna whatsoever)
• analog audio output
• bonus points for a non-data-carrying charging port (aka, barrel power connector, not USB) so you can charge it in a SCIF (USB cables not permitted).

For some fucking reason, the few FIIO models that are non-wireless have a microphone. Recording capability Is also a big no for a SCIF IIRC.

Financially? Yes (for now). In terms of Spoons (mental/physical energy to care about whatever conditions i likely have)? Nope.

I definitely plan to visit it someday; theres an Ikea like, next building over, too, if google maps is to be believed!

I will admit to being a bit biased here (family member deals with this), but it aint always as simple as “diet and exercise” for everyone. Without careful management of blood sugar, some people just fucking drop from hypoglycemia with almost zero warning, even with implants to monitor it. Juggling medication with insurance and drug shortages, as well as diet, exercise, and blood sugar, is not something i wish on anyone.
