As a scientist, I would be cautious of inferring the reason and beating ourselves up for it until we have crystal clear proof that that is the specific thing that’s turning people away.

I always find it fascinating how Australia shares our (UK) exact problems despite being on the opposite side of the globe.
Hmm, I think being able to turn any statement into a question is a necessary feature of language. For anything that could hypothetocally be true, you want to be able to inqiire about it.
They’re probably busy spending it on surströmming
