The problem is that many decades of neoliberalism has led people to be so desperate they think facism is a solution.
If Carney continues to do what the Liberals and Conservative has done for a long time now the next thing people go will be much uglier.

There really isn’t much of solution that is implied in the title the we can learn or copy from them aside from the team approach which we’ve already started to implement.

I don’t believe there’s something magical about CBC where they couldn’t be contorted to favour whatever Conservatives want. In itself they’ve been trying make Trump and other Conservatives look sane for years now.
The only reason why Peirre wants them gone is because Postmedia does it for free. At least until whoever funds them decides otherwise.
Given the current news revenue models I don’t think it’s possible for large scale outlets to be anything but paid adverts in guise of the news. The Conservative mantra of deregulation is also going to make things worse.
Ultimately someone will need to come up with something that pays people to deliver accurate news.

People overestimating their ability is common and somewhat reasonable. The party not doing much about while it’s on the path of losing official part status is incompetence.
