It’s more nuanced than that. There are different factions within the current Republican Party. Most of it is rotten, yes but there are prominent Republicans openly against Trump and his authoritarian take over.

As u/gristlekitty mentioned above, this isn’t simply Democrat vs Republican, left vs right or even the working class vs the wealthy.
This is a fight between democracy vs authoritarianism.
